NICOLE REGNIER
Nicole Regnier is a professional football player from Colombia.
She started playing football when she was 6 years old after her parents separated and she went to live with her mom in Italy. The passion of the Italian people for football was contagious to her, so she fell in love with it. She immediately started playing, always in men’s teams. She went back to Colombia and became part of the Sub 17 Colombian Team. At age 16 Atletico de Madrid women’s team saw her performance and made an offer. Her father refused, because she was to young to move to Spain on her own.
She kept in touch with the Atletico de Madrid Team and they sent her a new offer that she accepted in 2014. In 2016 she made the Colombian National Team that represented the country in the Rio Olympics.
In 2018 she went to play for the Servette FC in Switzerland. Later returning to Colombia after 4 years of International representation.
The situation in Colombia made things tough on her. During the course of her career as a professional footballer, Regnier has been working to create a favorable image in the world of sports. Due to her discipline and good game, Regnier has become a hero in women's soccer. That is why she decided to retire from football in prime of her career. Since her decision, she has been training to compete in the Iron Man Competition in December. (Swimming, running and biking)
