Kelvin Renteria (El Vaquero) was the only member of Team Contendientes to reach the final episode of season 3. He fought Alberto "Venado" Medina in the men's final and was surprisingly swept 5-0.

Kelvin is a bull rider, rugby player and Exatlon fan. He wanted to study at a university, but had to start working to help his family. A cousin helped him get started in construction. He now owns a small air conditioning installation business. His family still lives in Mexico and he helps support them.

Kelvin sought to participate in season 2, but his wife did not want him to leave her, as they were newly married. After his participation in Exatlón in season 3 he divorced and is now single.
